Musique (fête de la)
On Friday, I saw Fennesz live, in a small church, for free !

And thanks Cthulhu, it was free, because it's been terribly short, and not pretty good :/

1) When he arrived, his laptop was obviously missing from the gear, so he had to get it back at the hotel (or something like that). It started like 20-30 minutes late.

2) It was either too messy or too monotonous... he was basically nonchalantly playing is guitar, then fiddling around on his laptop, but it wasn't really leading anywhere or constructing anything. It felt like I was watching Christian in his studio experimenting around with some sounds. Why not. BUT WELL, it was free, eh.

Before that, I saw the second half of BL!NDMAN's set. Very contemporary and minimal, and something that, I think,

womanonfire &

nomi would have enjoyed. One of the member strangely looked like a smoother version of David Bowie... especially with that saxophone...

Alva Noto was playing like, next door, at the Recyclart, at the same time. So I missed it.

Instead I saw Byetone (not to be nerdly misread as Byteone), which a bit like a groovy/danceable version of Alva Noto (with an hint of Pan Sonic). It was nice enough.

I was in front of this church on friday evening. But people looked so bored outside that we didn't even try to get inside, so we just stayed in front of it and chated until it was over. It's funny to think that you were inside all that time. ;)
At the same time Recyclart was packed, and there was a long line made of hipsters hoping to get inside. So we just gave up on the whole concept in the end.
Overall not worth it, but the company was good, and that's the most important, isn't it?

Mais t'es arrivée quand à Fennesz ?

J'ai vu plein de personnes partir pendant le concert, genre "oh non mais c'est trop horrible, au secours" :p

j'ai tenté la file au Recyclart après, c'était plein de hipsters en effet mais c'est toujours inévitable à ce genre de trucs.. I learnt to deal with it :p (enfin y'en a un qui m'a accidentellement brûlé avec sa clope, jugeant que c'était une bonne idée de fumer dans ce genre de condition sardinières, grmlb).

I wish the company was good, I went all alone :p

	C'est dommage d'aller seul à ce genre d'événement, car on y a souvent besoin de soutien moral et/ou d'un plan de secours. Surtout en cas de hispters bloquant l'entrée. En même temps c'était la fête de la musique, ce qui à tendance à empirer tous les problèmes habituels. ben oui, mais

kant312 avec qui je vais à ce genre de choses n'était pas libre... je devais aller avec un autre pote à Alva Noto, puis j'ai pas eu de nouvelles.. pareil pour une amie qui allait peut-être venir.. et puis voilà ;)

puis les dernières fois que j'ai fait des posts du genre sur LJ, ça a pas rencontré un franc succès, donc j'avais un peu laissé tombé l'idée ;)

MAIS BON j'y repenserai pour la prochaine fois :p

Poster un rappel pour un concert est toujours utile, au cas où quelqu'un qui n'était pas au courant viendrait à le lire. Mais effectivement, la plupart du temps c'est un post pour rien. Il faut beaucoup de motivation pour continuer à poster, alors qu'on pense que ça ne va servir à rien. Je ne peux que t'encourager à continuer sur cette voix, mais je comprendrais très bien que tu ne le fasses pas.

Ceci dit, je ne vais pas non plus à tous les concerts Recyclart, donc il se pourrait fort bien que je n'y sois pas la prochaine fois. Enfin, on verra bien. :)

	Emiliana Torrini à l'AB le 1er février, j'y étais aussi! D'ailleurs elle revient le 30 septembre, mais je ne sais pas si je vais y aller. Zerkalo, je ne connais pas (Heureusement, il y a Myspace!). Par contre, je connais le DNA, et ça mérite d'y réfléchir à deux fois avant de se jeter dans la fosse aux lions. Je vais donc y penser. (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	well I really really did enjoy the 2 latest albums (except for a couple of tracks that always manage to get on my nerves). But here there was no melody, no construction, no landscapes, no emotion... only a series of noise. It was ok because I like digital noise, but still kind of boring/disappointing :p (Reply to this) (Parent)
